platform builder subproject source path question

Apr 18, 2008 at 7:50 PM
I tried to include a file in my subproject source tree "folder" such as ..\..\..\..\..\filedir\filename
it is shared source.
The build does not find the file!?!

BUILD: 00:0000000009:INFO Will Build c:\sw1\component\ConfigManager\CConfigManager.cpp because target: obj\ARMV4I\retail\CConfigManager.obj is missing.
BUILD: 00:0000000010:PROGC Building COMPILE Pass in C:\WINCE600\OSDesigns\GumstixII1\GumstixII1\ConfigManager\ directory.
BUILD: 00:0000000011:PROG 'NMAKE.EXE TargetCompilePass -i -c BUILDMSG=Stop.

What do I do to the sources file to get it to accept files outside the project path. ?
THANKS!

I had to include a file in the project that basically includes all the outside files. (yuck)
Maybe someone has a better way...

I have an additional file in the project names configmanagerfiles.cpp that has this one line in it.
#include "..\..\..\..\sw1\component\ConfigManager\CConfigManager.cpp"
