Getting Started

Hi,
Just a few preliminary questions. I like the idea of the gumstix.... small, low power, small display available etc. But I can't go down the LINUX route because the peripheralsI need to talk to don't have linux drivers. If I go down the route of the windows CE BSP will I be able to install any normal windows driver and access it from my programs (I will only need to transfer moderate amounts of data). Will I need to use the platform builder in order to access these drivers. Is it normal to do software development on a desktop and then transfer thew executable to the Gumstix??

Is windows CE included th the download package or do I need to buy it from elsewhere. What is the form for paying Microsoft for the liocence??

Thanks in advance

Your questions are far to basic for answering in this discussion list.
I would suggest you go to Microsoft Windows CE page or MSDN. They are great resources for your level of questions.
MS also hosts public news groups where you can asks questions.
