I cleared several issues with some of the drivers that deal with suspend/resume operation and suspend/resume seems to be better now.
There is still an issue with USBFN (ActiveSync) when the cable is plugged in and you do a suspend/resume.
It looks like this is mostly a hardware limitation as for some reasion Gumstix did not implement the "cable detect" on the Console-vx boards.

Best to just avoid doing suspend/resume when the USB ActiveSync cable is plugged in.

Distributed NK.bin works fine.
But when rebuilding it uses a default of 640x480 for the LCD and dies during boot.
Can this be put in the BSP/LCD package or must one modify the WinCE source?

As a work around change the following registry key (in platform.reg) or via persistent registry.
; No Explorer's suspend menu button
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Explorer]
"Suspend"=dword:0 ; do not support suspend
; "Suspend"=dword:1 ; support suspend

This will remove the "Suspend" menu choice from the start menu.

Occasionally the tcs2003 touch screen controller on the ConsoleLCD will not initialize.
An I2C error will be shown on the debug console.
Comments: fixed in change set 14298.
Added I2C bus reset to initialization code.

the prebuilt image ships with "Bpp"=dword:20[32 bit mode] which i think is scaled down by driver. in 16/32 bit mode the graphic icons look nasty.

The resolution settings are stored in the registry and are completely configurable.
The remote virtual display driver defaults to 640x480.
The Samsung LCD driver defaults to 480x272 18 bit color.

Hey, first off, thanks for the excellent work so far...

Looks to me like everything is working, except for my touch screen input... Any idea on how I can troubleshoot where the problem might be?

XM4-bt
NetMicroSD-WiFi
ConsoleLCD-vx
Samsung Touchscreen
Booting from microSD card

The display comes up after boot, and looks quite correct... Colors are all perfect etc...
I know the Wifi is working, because I can see the name of my local wifi network in the configuration screen after boot...

I created a '/startup' directory, and placed the 'TouchCalibrate.exe' in that folder... It now starts at boot...

Everything seems right, but tapping on the screen, trying to calibrate, there are no taps recognized...

I've got another ConsoleLCD-vx here, and another Samsung touchscreen, and I've swapped those in with the same result, so I'm relatively sure it's not a hardware failure...

the Hardware config byte I'm using is '0x000070c9', although I've tried a few variations with no luck.

I've included a copy of the boot log from the serial console.

Comments: This is a known hardware problem. Some ConsoleLCD-vx boards do not have the interrupt pin from the touch screen controller connected. You can fix with a wire jumper. See gumstix site or news group for more information on this modification.

Yea this is a known HARDWARE problem. The interrupt pin is not connected on some ConsoleLCD-vx boards.
A simple jumper will fix it. I understand Gumstix has another spin of the board in the works.

Alright, I tried this, and soldering the jumper as suggested in the above article did indeed allow the touchscreen to function appropriately...

I understand that this isn't an issue with the BSP package, but with the hardware provided from gumstix... still, It may warrant keeping the information around, as I'm sure a number of people have got the same combination of boards...

OK, I SWEAR I looked through the forums before I posted this! I SWEAR :)

As a follow up to this, I found the following thread, that I believe may be a source of the problem... I'll try soldering the jumper, and let you know my results. I'm at work, and haven't got a nice fine tipped soldering iron here... will do it at home tonight.
